Spring in Cornwall is something special. The hedgerows burst with primroses and bluebells, the air carries the scent of salt and fresh growth, and the coastline glows under the gentle warmth of the sun. Today was one of those perfect days—ideal for a location recce as the owner of Lantic Locations.
My journey took me through winding lanes, past stone cottages and rolling fields, to meet a new location owner. This is always an exciting part of the job—discovering hidden gems and getting to know the people who cherish them.
Arriving at the property,I was meet by the owner. We walked the round the estate together, discussing its history, its quirks, and its potential for filmmakers and photographers alike. From sweeping countryside views to charming, tucked-away corners, this spot had everything that makes a location stand out.
Beyond the physical space, these meetings are about relationships—understanding the owner’s vision and ensuring they feel confident and excited about the possibilities. We chatted about the logistics of shoots, the practicalities of access and facilities, and how best to showcase the unique features of their property.
As the meeting wrapped up, I took a final moment to soak in the scenery. A light breeze rustled through the trees, and I felt that familiar thrill of discovering another place with incredible potential.
